Red Iguana Menu Design

Red Iguana Menu Design

The incredible and eclectic Red Iguana (home of the best mole I have ever tasted) asked us to design new menus for them. The food menu would need a redesigned cover, and the drinks and dessert menu would become a booklet of its own and would need custom design throughout. Lucy requested something fun for the Drinks and dessert menu cover, and wanted it to have an iguana scurrying around a drinks glass or similar. She explained other elements that were important to her and Bill to be a part of the menu design, like the smoke stacks and train near the Red Iguana 2 location.

I got to designing and worked closely with Lucy and her dining room manager Jeff to ensure accuracy and consistency through the menus. Lucy invited me to take photographs of some of their signature drinks to feature in the menu. My husband came to assist, and Lucy surprised us with a dinner on the house after the shoot was over. The food was of course, delicious, and we were extremely grateful and pleased. It was such a neat experience designing for these very cool people and this very cool brand, and it leaves me again grateful for collaborations. Working with clients always guides me to create something much better than had I been given no direction or assignment to begin with.
